DARIEN, CT — The Darien Police Department is reminding residents who have properties abutting sidewalks to remove all snow and ice within 24 hours following a storm.
Failure to clear sidewalks could result in up to $130 ($90 plus fees) in fines per day, the department said.
Additionally, residents may be subject to lawsuits if someone gets injured due to failure to clear a sidewalk promptly.
