Darien To Replace Sidewalks At Noroton Heights Train Station

DARIEN, CT — Darien announced this week it will be replacing sidewalks on the south side of the railroad tracks at the Noroton Heights Train Station.

The sidewalk will connect pedestrian access from Hollow Tree Ridge Road and Ledge Road to the railroad platforms on the south side of tracks, the town said in a social media post. There will be handicap ramps and a crosswalk.

Work is expected to begin on or about Aug. 7, the town said, and it will be rolled out in phases to minimize disruption to parking.

The station will be open on both sides of the tracks, but some parking spaces will be unavailable temporarily, according to the town.
