Darien Surf n' Turf Thief Nabbed: PD

DARIEN, CT- A man who stole lobster tails and steak from the Darien Whole Foods was arrested, police said.

Police got a complaint from the store on May 15 that a man took $94 of porterhouse steak and $87 worth of lobster tails without paying.

A worker at the store took a picture of the man as he left in his Ford pickup truck.

Police traced the vehicle's registration back to Daniel Horowitz, 31, of Stamford.

A day later his vehicle was found abandoned in Stamford.

Police obtained an arrest warrant on May 25 and Stamford Police later contacted Darien Police to let them know he was in custody for another incident, police said.

He was charged with sixth-degree larceny.
