Darien Teen Charged with Setting Brush Fire: PD
It took 60 firefighters about two hours to extinguish the five-acre blaze.

DARIEN, CT- A Darien teen was charged with starting a brush fire that took 60 firefighters two hours to extinguish Wednesday.
Police and several area fire departments responded to Woodland Park Nature Preserve on West Avenue around 3:18 p.m. on a report of a brush fire.

The large fire encompassed about five acres, police said.
A neighbor reported seeing a teenage male setting the fire and at least one witness identified the youth who was seen running away around the time the fire was reported.

Evidence was later recovered at the teen's home linking him to the fire, police said.
The juvenile was charged with first-degree criminal mischief.
