Darien Teen Seeks Probationary Program In New Canaan Assault Case

DARIEN, CT — Brian Minicus, one of the Darien High School football players charged with assault last month, is seeking accelerated rehabilitation in connection with the case, reports the New Canaan News.

Minicus appeared in Norwalk Superior Court with his attorney, Stephan Seeger, on Wednesday when he asked for consideration for the court probationary program. He is due back in court on Jan. 17.

Two other Darien teens, one other and an unnamed 17-year-old, have been charged in connection with the alleged assault on a New Canaan teen, following some social media trash talking between the youths. The juvenile defendant's case is being heard in Juvenile Court in Bridgeport.
