Family Recalls Suzanne Stisser as Loving Mother, Grandmother and Teacher
Stisser was heavily involved in many Darien community organizations.

Suzanne Stisser was recalled by her family as a loving parent, grandparent and teacherin the Darien community.
Stisser began teaching at 13-years-old and helped run a sailing camp at Greenwich Point by the time she was 16, her husband David told the Darien Times.

She also taught at nursery schools, private schools and eventually became a physical education teacher at Tokeneke School, which is where she taught for the past 20 years. She was involved in many community organizations including the Darien Nature Center, T-ball, and the Challenger league.

Stisser raised three sons and became the unofficial team photographer when son Tim joined Darien High School’s football team. Another son Brian was salutatorian of his Darien High School class.
She was also helping to mentor her son Matt’s fiance Casey Goodson who is training to become a teacher in the Bronx.
