Gorham's Pond Tide Gates To Open For Repairs: Town Of Darien
The town said the gates will open for a second time during the spring for repairs.

DARIEN, CT — The town of Darien announced that the Gorham's Pond Tide Gates will be opened this spring for repairs.
The gates will open on Monday, May 20, and will be closed Friday, May 24.

The opening or closing of the gates may be delayed due to weather and cannot be operated following extensive rain events or a series of very high tides because of the large volume of water flowing over the dam, the town said.
Tide gates will be closed before Memorial Day.
