Hanson Road Bridge In Need Of Repairs: Town Of Darien

DARIEN, CT — Darien said Monday that during routine maintenance checks, the town found an area of the Hanson Road Bridge over the Stony Brook River that needs repair.

The bridge is currently safe to travel over, the town said, and is being monitored regularly. Barricades have been set-up along the north side of the bridge to prevent vehicular traffic from driving over the area. The barricades have reduced the width of the bridge as well as the approaches from both sides.

The town said it is currently in the process of determining the scope of repair and will issue updates when more information is known.
