Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Connecticut
The National Weather Service says to expect some unsettled weather today in Connecticut. Here are the latest details.

A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for Connecticut Monday as the rain moves in later in the afternoon, and it could be heavy at times, which may lead to some localized flooding concerns, according to the National Weather Service.
For southern Connecticut, the weather service says, “Occasional heavy rain and localized ponding of water in low lying areas will be possible today into tonight.”

The state could see between 1-2 inches of rain with the heaviest rain occurring tonight and into early Tuesday. Once the rain ends by daybreak, Connecticut will experience great weather leading up to the weekend. Unfortunately, and it’s still a week away, but the upcoming weekend forecast doesn’t look great. Currently, showers and mostly cloudy skies are forecast for both days.
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said, “Some light rain slowly moving in today. Also, dress for cool 60s. Have a good day & week!” Simmons added, “Grab your umbrella for Monday!”

Here’s the updated forecast via the National Weather Service:
Monday: Showers move in after 12 p.m. and the heaviest rains move in tonight. Cooler temps, just around 70 degrees. 1-2 inches of rain possible from this rain storm.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, high near 80.
Wednesday: Sunny, high near 80 again.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.
Friday: Partly sunny, high near 80 degrees.
Saturday and Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms possible both days. Mostly cloudy skies, temps around 80 degrees.
