JLSN Invites You to Meet State Rep. Terrie Wood

What's going on in Hartford and what does it mean for your family? State Rep. Terrie Wood will answer your questions about our state.

The Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk (JLSN) invites you to meet State Representative Terrie Wood, District 141, in The Community Room at the Darien Library on Tuesday, October 20th.

Refreshments will be available at the Library Snack Bar from 9:30 AM and Representative Wood will speak at 10:00 AM. A Question and Answer session will be a highlight of the program, so come prepared!

Representative Wood will update and connect the audience to important issues in Hartford and she will encourage them to create their own connections by learning how to advocate for issues they care about.

Terrie Wood has served as State Representative from the 141st district since January 2009. She is currently ranking member on the Human Services Committee and member of the Finance and Regulations Review Committees. Wood also served as Co-chair of the Mental Health Working Group of the Gun Violence and School Security Bill. She is very much aware of the importance of educating people about mental health. She is past president of the Darien Land Trust, founder and first chairman of the Darien Environmental Group, past trustee of the Darien Library and The Community Fund, and Chair of The Barbara Harrington Fund, an educational enrichment fund for teachers in the Darien School system. In addition, Terrie served two terms on the Darien Republican TownCommittee, and was Co-Chair of YES...DHS!, a political action committee dedicated to passing a referendum to get a new high school built.
