Make-A-Wish(R) Connecticut to host Annual Walk for Wishes May 9th and make Wish Kid Ethan's wish come true
Annual Walk for Wishes® to take place at Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo on May 9th.
(Trumbull, CT)
Make-A-Wish Connecticut will once again host its annual fundraising event, Walk for Wishes® on May 9th at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport! Join emcees and honorary chairs, Anna Zap of Star 99.9 on May 9th along with family and friends from all over Connecticut and past Wish Kids and families to help make wishes come true for Connecticut children battling life-threatening medical conditions.
Last year, families and friends watched while Wish Child, Isabelle, was granted her wish live at Walk for Wishes® . Now this year, Isabelle will return to Walk for Wishes® to be among over 1,000 people who will help make Wish Kid, Ethan’s wish come true. While at Walk for Wishes®, Ethan’s wish to go to Disney World will be revealed to him, and he and his family will leave for their trip a few days later.

Michael Dominick, Community & Media Relations Manager for Make-A-Wish Connecticut said, “To be a part of such an overwhelming celebration in honor of Ethan will make his wish experience extra special, not only for him and his family, but for all those who come out to the Walk for Wishes on May 9th. We’ll all be able to share the power of a wish together.”
The non-competitive one mile walk unites wish kids, wish families, and the entire community, who all come together to make wishes come true for children battling life-threatening medical conditions and enrich their human experience with hope, strength and joy.

About Make-A-Wish® Connecticut
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Connecticut grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Wish-come-true experiences can do wonders by providing a much-needed break from lengthy hospital stays and medical treatments. They give back to a child what a serious medical condition can take away—the chance to simply enjoy being a kid. Wish Kids often choose something that will inspire happiness, and allow them to spend precious time with their families. The Connecticut chapter has made over 2,500 wishes come true since its inception in 1986.
