Man Arrested After Walking Out Of Darien Library With Laptop: PD
The incident occurred on April 26, according to Darien police.

DARIEN, CT — A 41-year-old Seattle, WA man was arrested on a larceny charge last week after he walked out of the Darien Library with a laptop, according to police.
The incident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. on April 26 after the man, later identified as Andrew Taylor, tried to get a guest pass to use of the library's computers but was denied.
At that point he walked over to a nearby desk, grabbed the laptop and began to walk out.

"Employees told him to stop and that he couldn't leave with the computer, but Taylor ignored them," stated Darien police. "Taylor put the laptop into a post office box in front of the building,
which was later retrieved with the assistance of the USPS."
Officers apprehended Taylor near the library, and he admitted that he took the laptop to send emails, but then put it in the postal box.

Taylor was charged with sixth-degree larceny and was held in lieu of bail of $500. He was scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on April 29.
