Multiple Vehicle Burglaries Reported In Darien: Police

All five of the recent incidents again involved unlocked vehicles.

DARIEN, CT — Five unlocked vehicles were reported burglarized in Darien between April 4 and April 5, according to Darien police, the latest examples of such break-ins in town.

The break-ins occurred on the following roads, Ledge Road (Stony Brook Park); Fitch Avenue (2 separate burglaries); Patton Drive and Outlook Drive:

  • $12,000 in cash and credit cards stolen from a purse in a 2015 Subaru XV parked at Stony Brook Park
  • Debit card and employer ID stolen from a 2016 Mazda Cx parked in a driveway Fitch Avenue
  • 2018 Chevrolet Traverse entered but nothing taken; vehicle was parked in a driveway on Patton Drive
  • 2016 Land Rover Range Rover entered but nothing taken; vehicle was parked on Outlook Drive
  • 2014 Toyota Sienna entered but nothing taken; vehicle was parked on Fitch Avenue

All of the vehicles had glove compartments and/or center consoles rifled through, and some were found with doors left open, according to police.
