DARIEN, CT — Eversource has begun work on its natural gas expansion project in Darien, which the utility company expects to complete in October.
Under the project, residents and business owners in the Noroton Heights section "will soon be able to take advantage of the efficient and environmentally-friendly fuel," wrote Eversource in a statement. The company is investing $5.1 million and installing nearly four miles of additional lines in town.
Weather permitting, crews will be working from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. According to Darien police, several roads in town will be impacted during the work, which could lead to traffic delays.
