Marron is a second-generation Darien police officer, and Anderson served with this father, the late Capt. Jeremiah P. Marron Sr.
"Their combined dedication to the Darien Police Department and the town of Darien is an ongoing testament to the tradition and professionalism of this agency," Anderson said.
Marron Sr., served in the department from 1967 to 1989.
