Over $700 Worth Of Allergy Medicine Stolen From Stop & Shop: Darien PD

Police said they responded to the grocery store on the evening of July 16.

DARIEN, CT — Police said approximately $750 worth of allergy medicine was stolen from the Darien Stop & Shop on Old Kings Highway North earlier this week.

On July 16 at 8:41 p.m., a Darien police officer responded to the grocery store on a report of a theft, police said.

A Stop & Shop loss prevention employee told the officer that two men entered the store and filled two bags with allergy medicine. The suspects left the store without paying for the merchandise.

An investigation is ongoing, police said.

An unrelated "distraction theft" was also reported at the grocery store on July 13, according to police.
