Darien Selectmen Begin Discussion (patch.com) — Darien officials are weighing who should be allowed to use the town's new Great Island park and how tightly access and parking should be controlled. • Man Armed With Handgun Stole Over $3K, 20 Packs Of Cigarettes From Gas Station: Darien Police (patch.com) — Darien police say a local man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at the Exxon station on Post Road, where over $3,000 and 20 packs of cigarettes were stolen. Officers used camera footage, a traffic stop, and search warrants to recover an e-bike, firearm, and clothing they say match the suspect, who is now held on a substantial bond.
