• Man Charged In 2020 Identity Theft Scheme: Darien Police (patch.com) — Darien residents are learning more about an identity theft case that began in town back in 2020, after police linked fraudulent bank accounts opened at two Darien banks to a suspect from Wethersfield. Following a lengthy investigation involving court-authorized bank records and surveillance video, state police arrested the man on an outstanding Darien warrant in late September, and he's being held on a $20,000 bond.
