PD: Man Arrested for Trespassing at Darien Goose Restaurant

The man was told to leave, police said. He complied, but showed up 10 minutes later.

A Darien man was arrested after he allegedly caused a ruckus at the Goose American Bistro and Bar on the Post Road August 17.

Police responded around 3:15 p.m. as a manager was escorting a customer out of the door. The man was causing a disturbance and insisting to see the bar’s license, police said. He appeared intoxicated.

Police told the 51-year-old man not to go back to the restaurant. The man agreed and left.

Not even 10 minutes later the man came into the restaurant and started a confrontation with the manager. Police were summoned and the man was arrested as he was attempting to leave in a taxi.

The man showed up the previous day to the restaurant and wasn’t served due to being too intoxicated, police said. Instead he got a club soda and a taxi ride home.
