Person of Interest in Darien Chase Bank Robbery Arrested in New Jersey

The woman was arrested by FBI agents in Atlantic City.

A woman suspected of robbing banks in New Jersey and Connecticut was arrested in New Jersey on Thursday.

Michelle C. Cantatore, 51, of White Plains is a person of interest in the Chase Bank robbery that occurred in Darien on Feb. 24

Cantatore is charged by complaint with one count of bank robbery. She is scheduled to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge James B. Clark III in Newark federal court. The complaint accused Cantatore of robbing Glen Rock Savings Bank in New Jersey on Feb. 18.

FBI agents arrested Cantatore at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The Darien Police Detective Bureau participated with the FBI during a search warrant at the home of Cantatore on March 5. Darien Police have been working closely with the Greenwich Police as well as the Glen Rock, New Jersey Police. The Darien Police continues its investigation in to the Feb. 24 robbery.

Cantanore is also a suspect in the robbery of the Greenwich Bank and Trust that occurred on Jan. 30.
