UPDATED: Greenwich Bank Is Robbed by Gun-Toting Woman
Greenwich Police release more details and photos of the suspect; seek public's help in identifying her.

Greenwich Police are now saying “The female in these photos is a person of interest in the armed bank robbery of Greenwich Bank and Trust that occurred on Friday Jan 30th, 2015.”
The woman is suspected of pointing a handgun at a bank teller and escaping with an undetermined amount of cash, just about noon Friday. Police have released a more detailed description of the suspect.

“The female is believed to be wearing white or tan boots and was last seen running east through the Sheephill Mobil Gas Station,” at the corner of East Putnam Avenue and Sheephill Road in the Riverside section of Greenwich, according to police.
She also has been described as “as a white female, approximately 40 years old; short, weighing about 100 pounds, with dark hair in a pixie cut, wearing sunglasses and a dark peacoat.”

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with information on the female subject’s identity is asked to contact Det. O’Neill at 203-622-3684 or Det. Perusse at 203-622-8039.
“If encountered, do not confront the subject. The subject is believed to be armed,” police said in their statement release late Friday.

A gun-toting woman robbed The Greenwich Bank & Trust Co. about noon Friday.
According to Greenwich Police, lone female entered the bank branch at 1103 E. Putnam Ave. in the Riverside neighborhood of Greenwich, displayed a firearm and demanded cash about 12 p.m.
“The teller complied and the suspect left without incident with an undetermined amount of cash. No one was injured,” Greenwich Police Lt. Kraig Gray said.
The suspect is described as a white female, approximately 40 years old; short, weighing about 100 pounds, with dark hair in a pixie cut, wearing sunglasses and a dark peacoat.
