Police Break Up Another Underage Drinking Party In Darien
The incident occurred recently on Bishops Gate Road.

DARIEN, CT — Police broke up an underage drinking party on Bishops Gate Road in Darien on June 16, after the number of young people who swarmed the home overwhelmed the female teenager who hosted the event.
Officers were dispatched to the home on "a report of under-aged youths drinking alcohol in the residence without the owner’s permission."
The caller turned out to be the juvenile resident of the home, who explained to Officers that she had initially only invited 'a few friends' over.

"She said that 'word got out' about the parentless gathering, and approximately 50 teenagers ended up being in the home, many of [whom] were consuming alcohol," wrote police in a statement. "When the juvenile resident felt that the gathering was getting 'out of hand,' she called the police."
The incident, which was the latest in a string of similar underage drinking parties in town, was forwarded to the Darien Police Youth Bureau for further investigation.
