Police: Manchester Drug Dealer, 37, Kept Cocaine, Paraphernalia at Home with Kids

Police searching the man's home at 111 Highland St. found cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin in a home with three kids, ages 6, 9 and 12.

Police in a regional task force on Thursday raided the home of Benjamin “Gas Station” Ellis, 37, where they found 10.85 grams of crack cocaine worth $1,100; 2.4 grams of heroin; 5.64 ounces of cocaine worth $6,800; $7,110 cash and drug paraphernalia, police said, according to an NBC Connecticut report.

The East Central Narcotics Taskforce and Capitol Region Emergency Services Team conducted the raid and served Ellis with an arrest warrant charging him with drug selling. Ellis’ three children, ages 6, 9 and 12, were home at the time the report said.

Police confiscated Ellis’ 2005 Dodge Magnum and his cellphone.
