President Trump Appoints Darien Woman To Federal Judgeship

Attorney Jennifer Rearden has been appointed to serve on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

DARIEN, CT — Jennifer Rearden, a Darien resident and attorney, has been appointed by President Donald Trump to serve as a judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, the White House announced this month.

Rearden is a partner at the New York law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP, where she serves in the Litigation and Crisis Management practice groups.

She graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy and Yale University, according to her Facebook page, and she obtained her J.D. from New York University School of Law.

Despite being named to the bench by a Republican president, several times in recent years, Rearden has donated to Democratic candidates and PACs, reports the Darien Times.
