Peter Louis Anker, 90, a securities analyst and investment banker in the metals and mining industry, died Feb. 23, 2026, after a career that included leadership in equity research and lifelong pursuits of woodworking, reading, theater, classical music, skiing, and support of the arts.

Ruth Tait Taubl, 81, died Feb. 21, 2026, after a 33-year career at Omega Engineering and years of civic involvement and volunteering, and enjoyed reading, playing Rummikub, and supporting fire department and veterans’ activities in Darien.

AnnMarie Kvinge, 92, died Feb. 19, 2026, after a career as an assistant town clerk in Darien and a lifelong devotion to her Catholic faith, opera, and the arts.

Jo Anne Wenger, 94, died Feb. 18, 2026, a Phi Beta Kappa alumna of the University of Kansas who devoted her working life to homemaking and parenting, and enjoyed writing, singing, puzzle-solving, preventive health interests, and avidly following Kansas Jayhawks athletics.

Jose Robles Roman, 91, died Feb. 16, 2026, after a long career as a welder, and municipal custodian in Darien, and was known for his enjoyment of working on cars, restoring furniture, running model trains, playing pool, and cooking rice and beans.

Steven Douglas White, 59, died Feb. 12, 2026, after a career in construction that included owning a remodeling business, and pursuits that included playing bass in local bands, avidly following the New York Giants, and volunteering as a Scoutmaster.

Patricia Doyle Burgevin, a retail executive who spent five decades in New York fashion merchandising and advertising, including as executive vice president and director of advertising at Lord & Taylor, died Jan. 23, 2026, and was known for historic preservation work, and wide-ranging passions that included music, dancing, flea markets, beach walks, Mini Coopers, and her dogs.
