Recycling Center Permits Available Now In Darien
Residential recycling permits are valid beginning July 1 and expire June 30 each year.

DARIEN, CT — Permits, or "dump stickers," for 2024 to 2025 are now available for purchase in Darien.
Residential recycling permits are valid beginning July 1 and expire June 30 each year. Residents may apply for a permit via mail, online (except for seniors age 65 plus), or in person in room 208 at Darien Town Hall, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Renewal postcards were slated to be mailed to residents on May 13, according to the town's most recent community newsletter.

To acquire a permit, a copy of the vehicle registration must be provided for any vehicle not registered with the DPW office; this includes new or additional vehicles being added.
If the vehicle is not registered in Darien, a copy of a current utility bill, mortgage/lease, or driver’s license must be included with your renewal, according to the town. Residents must provide a self-addressed, stamped, full-sized envelope to receive a permit via mail.

Existing customers whose vehicle registration is already on file with the DPW office may purchase residential dump permits online. Residents who are unable to complete the online transaction should mail in the permit request with the required information.
