Registration Open For 44th Annual Darien Road Race And Family Fun Day
Proceeds will benefit The Community Fund of Darien's mission to provide essential services to youth and families in the community.

DARIEN, CT — The Community Fund of Darien has announced the opening of registration for their 44th annual Darien Road Race that is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 15 at Pear Tree Point Beach.
Participants can choose between a 1.5-mile family fun run or a five-mile timed race, both offering scenic shoreline routes in Darien.
This popular family-friendly event welcomes hundreds of runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The morning includes entertainment for all under the main tent including face painting, airbrush tattoos, photo booth, hula hoops, friendship bracelets, and more from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

"The Darien Road Race is a beloved community tradition and fundraiser that brings runners, families, and friends together to improve the well-being of our neighbors," said The Community Fund of Darien Executive Director Janet King. "There’s something fun for everyone on race day, even if you’re not a runner."
All proceeds from the race benefit The Community Fund of Darien’s mission to provide essential services to youth and families in the community through grants to local nonprofit organizations.

Registration for race participants is now open and can be completed online here. Kids under the age of 6 can register to run for free. On-site fun and tent activities are open to the public and do not require registration.
