Living in Connecticut means driving a lot. See how your town's drivers stacked up compared to those across the state.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield might have plenty of other admirable qualities—it has been called the best town in the state—but it ranked as having the worst drivers in the state, according to QuoteWizard.com.
On the other end of the spectrum, the survey found that Mansfield has the best drivers.
Despite the heavy congestion that plagues Connecticut's roads, overall the state ranks middle of the pack in terms of driver quality. But results vary by study—SmartAsset ranked Connecticut 47th in the country last year, just a few spots from dead last. This year the state ranked 46th.

Here's how QuoteWizard ranked each town: "To determine overall driver quality in Connecticut, we studied drivers in Connecticut’s 50 largest cities who used QuoteWizard.com to compare quotes. We then ranked cities by the highest rate of incidents. Incidents include accidents, speeding tickets, DUI’s and moving citations from that data."
The study found that Ridgefield had 6.21 road fatalities per 100,000 people in 2017. Other top bad-driving cities included Shelton and Milford, which do deal with traffic on I-95.
