Spring Fling Fundraiser Planned by OPUS for Person-to-Person
You'll be able to buy tickets in February for the March 28 "March Madras" fundraiser at Wee Burn Country Club.

An announcement from OPUS for Person-to-Person:
Opus for Person-to-Person today announced that its annual spring benefit, “Spring Fling: March Madras,” will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Wee Burn Country Club in Darien. The highly anticipated gala, which supports the Norwalk and Darien-based Person-to-Person (P2P), promises to be an elegant evening with a distinct springtime flair.
With a nod to basketball fever and preppy chic, the event calls for brightly colored cocktail attire and anything madras. While taking advantage of Wee Burn’s picturesque setting, guests will enjoy signature cocktails, dancing to a live band, basketball and golf-themed contests, an exciting raffle, live and silent auctions and a sit-down gourmet dinner. Auction items will include luxury vacation getaways, VIP sports packages, health and beauty indulgences and unique experiences.

Co-Chairs Lindsey Carr, Jennifer Clemow, Leslie Lester and Charlotte Symons have been working closely with Board Liaison Jordan Castellani and the March Madras committee to create a remarkable evening that will build on the successes of previous fundraisers.
Last year, the Latin-inspired “Fiesta on the Sound” sold out in record time and raised approximately $138,000 for Person-to-Person.

“We decided to move the annual Opus gala to March and really kick off spring in style,” said Elizabeth Hole, Co-President of Opus for Person-to-Person. “Spring Fling: March Madras is the perfect way to celebrate the season, while helping our neighbors in need.”
Proceeds from March Madras will go to Person-to-Person’s Emergency Assistance Program, which is the core of P2P’s services. This program provides free, gently used clothing, groceries for nutritious meals and financial assistance for rent, security deposits and utility bills. Each year P2P serves more than 24,500 people from the seven towns of Darien, Stamford, Norwalk, New Canaan, Westport, Weston and Wilton.
Tickets to the fundraiser will go on sale in early February 2015. Details on purchasing tickets and attending the event will be available on the Opus for Person-to-Person website: www.opus4p2p.org.
