Tracy Marra, whose district includes a part of Darien and Norwalk, ran unopposed in 2022.
DARIEN, CT — Darien resident and State Rep. Tracy Marra (R-141) announced on Thursday she will run for re-election this November.
Marra, whose district includes a part of Darien and Norwalk, ran unopposed in 2022; she replaced longtime Rep. Terrie Wood.
"My first term has been a total immersion. Even with the steep learning curve that is required, I have made it my mission to get your voices to Hartford," Marra said in an emailed announcement. "This race is important because it will shape the leaders in our state. Our state needs more candidates who are willing to look at our community’s true needs and find common ground for the good of our residents. I will be that voice for our district."

In her announcement, Marra shared several of her priorities, which include, "Championing local voices in the legislative process; creating an environment that encourages businesses to choose Connecticut as a home and help to grow and contribute to its economy; advocating for local decision making in housing and education to ensure that our children and neighbors live in communities that reflect our district's needs; and stopping government overreach that hurts our state and community."
According to her profile on the CT House GOP website, Marra was appointed to serve on the legislature's education, public health and transportation committees for the 2023-2024 legislative session.
