Stolen Vehicle, Burglaries Reported In Darien: Police

DARIEN, CT — Two motor vehicle burglaries and a stolen vehicle were reported in Darien last week, according to the latest crime summary update from police.

On Sept. 11 at approximately 9:35 a.m., police responded to a reported motor vehicle burglary on Gracie Lane.

Ring camera footage showed two individuals entering the victim's unlocked vehicle at around 4:05 a.m., police said.

Police later went to Robin Hood Lane on a report of another motor vehicle burglary. The victim there said she found the center console in her vehicle open and belongings scattered inside, police said, noting the vehicle was unlocked.

On Sept. 12, shortly after 4 p.m., officers responded to a parking lot in the area of the 500 block of Middlesex Road where a vehicle was stolen, police said.

The vehicle was left unlocked with the keys inside.

Residents should lock their vehicles and take their belongings with them.
