Stormy Weather Possible Through Friday; Heat Index To Approach 100 Degrees In Connecticut
Besides dealing with potentially strong storms for the next few days, Connecticut will see sweltering conditions today and Thursday.

The unsettled weather will continue today, Thursday and Friday in Connecticut as once again the National Weather Service has issued a "Hazardous Weather Outlook" for showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be strong, producing heavy rain and strong winds. Temps will also balloon on Thursday to 90 degrees and it may feel close to 100 degrees outside.
In its weather statement for Hartford and Tolland counties, the National Weather Service says, “There is the possibility for heavy rainfall in any thunderstorms that may develop today into tonight. Some localized urban and poor drainage flooding may result. Some thunderstorms may produce local strong wind gusts mainly this afternoon and evening. There is a low risk of localized wind damage.”
And then for Thursday in northern Connecticut, the weather service says, “There is the potential of heavy rainfall in any thunderstorms during Thursday into Thursday night which may produce localized flooding. A few storms may also produce strong to damaging winds.”
