Strong Weekend Storms In Connecticut To Follow Brutal Heat
An ugly weekend is expected after excessive heat plagues Connecticut.

If you have outdoor weekend plans in Connecticut, hopefully they're on Saturday, because it looks like Saturday night into Monday will be dominated by periods of heavy rain and possibly strong thunderstorms. The silver lining is that on Sunday it appears the oppressive heat will end.
We’ll still be dealing with 90 degree temps for a couple of more days until the rain and thunderstorms lower the temps considerably on Saturday.
A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties. The National Weather Service states, “Saturday Night through Monday...Heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely Saturday night and Sunday with a chance of additional thunderstorms Sunday night and Monday. Wind gusts of at 58 mph are possible along with heavy rain and frequent lightning in thunderstorms.“
