Connecticut Weather: Thanksgiving Week Forecast Details
Many people will be traveling this holiday week, and here's what you can expect concerning the weather.

If you're planning on traveling this holiday week there's good news in the weather forecast. Outside of a chance of some rain showers on Wednesday, the forecast looks tranquil. There had been talk of a possible snowstorm prior to Thanksgiving but that isn't happening now. Some areas in northern Connecticut received a coating of snow this morning, which made travel slippery this morning.
The only complaint about this holiday week forecast is that it could be a bit warmer. WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said, "A cold wind all day today. Highs 40-45 but feeling like 20s & 30s with the wind. Other than some rain Wednesday morning it looks quiet!"
Fox 61 Meteorologist Matt Scott said, "A little slippery out there in a few places, thanks to some lake effect snow bands that held together. We've got a few accidents out there as a result, including tie-ups on 91 and 84. BE CAREFUL THIS MORNING. The few snowflakes/raindrops end this morning, followed by partly cloudy skies and cool conditions. HIghs in the 40s won't feel that warm, thanks to a gusty W wind. Warmer for Tuesday, but early Wednesday brings rain early. It shouldn't affect travel. Thanksgiving looks Sunny, as does Black Friday."
