Unruly Patron Arrested Outside Darien Social

Employees didn't want to press charges, but the man allegedly pushed an officer and attempted to run away, which prompted his arrest.

An unruly patron at Darien Social was arrested after he allegedly acted aggressively toward officers.

Police responded to the Center Street premises on June 28 shortly before 2 a.m.

Employees said that Peter Dunn, 27, of Garden City, NY came in and was causing problems with other patrons. He was told to leave the bar and he did, police said.

He then re-entered the bar and demanded his keys before shoving an employee, police said. It’s unclear if anyone had his keys.

Dunn was taken to the ground by an employee in an attempt to restrain him, but ran out of the bar as police were called.

Police found Dunn nearby and he appeared intoxicated, according to police.

Employees didn’t want to press charges.

Officers asked where Dunn lived in an effort to get him home, but he became belligerent and got in an officer’s face, police said. He allegedly pushed an officer twice before attempting to run away.

He was restrained and charged with second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an officer.

Dunn may have gotten into a physical fight outside of Darien Social prior to his arrival, police said.
