Update: Police Pinpoint, Premonish Potential Puppy Provider to Perambulating Preteens
Darien cops say they found the woman offering puppies to kids Tuesday and asked her not to do that. Another case closed.

Police detectives have found the woman — from Brewster, NY — who drove up to at least three sets of children walking on Middlesex Road in Darien Tuesday, asking them if they wanted some puppies.
There didn’t seem to be any nefarious purpose to the unusual request, according to Darien police — for the children, at least (although the puppies may have been put in potentially dangerous situations).
She told police she didn’t think she was doing anything wrong, according to a Darien police news release, “but it was explained to her that approaching children under these circumstances was ill advised.”
