Update On Principal Search From Darien Public Schools Superintendent

Darien Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Alan Addley provided an update on the principal search process for Ox Ridge and Hindley.

DARIEN, CT — Superintendent of Darien Public Schools Dr. Alan Addley provided an update recenty on the search process for new principals for Ox Ridge Elementary School and Hindey Elementary School.

"There is a highly qualified pool of candidates for both positions," Addley said in his weekly communication to the school community.

An interview committee consisting of teachers, parents and administrators will begin interviews of screeneed candidates during the last week of March.

The positions for permanent principals at each school opened up following the departures of Melissa Kay from Ox Ridge last fall, and Keri Snowden from Hindley who will leave after her final day on March 29.

Dr. Harry Laub took over on an interim basis at Ox Ridge this past November. The school district is currently finalizing plans to appoint an interim principal at Hindley for the remainder of the school year. An announement to staff and parents is expected by Thursday, Addley said.

Both permanent principals, whenever they are hired, will take over effective July 1.
