• Connecticut Main Street Center Supports Initiatives in Deep River, Fairfield, Torrington, Vernon, and Westbrook (ctbythenumbers.news) — Deep River has received a $5,000 Main Street Accelerator grant to expand its new lamppost banner program, turning downtown into an outdoor gallery honoring local veterans, traditions, and history. A volunteer “Main Street Visionaries” team has already installed 32 banners from Town Hall outward, with more planned as sponsors join, aiming to boost community pride and downtown vitality.
