East Haddam Man, 26, Reportedly Killed in 1-Car Durham Crash: Update

DURHAM, CT — A 26-year-old East Haddam man was killed in Friday morning's one-car crash on Brick Lane in Durham, according to state police.

The victim was Clifford Petrizzo, who crashed was a little after 8 a.m.

Petrizzo was driving west on Maiden Lane near Brick Lane when the Volkswagen Jetta he was driving ran off the road. He was ejected from the vehicle, according to state police.

State police did not say why his car left the road, but it hit a guard rail and rolled over. The crash remains under investigation.

The accident temporarily closed the road, but it has since reopened, according to state officials.
