$2.1 Million Road, Culvert Project On Ballot For Durham Residents
Durham residents will be asked on Election Day as to whether they want to approve bonding for the project.

Town of Durham Road Culvert and Pavement Project
The Town Meeting held on August 27, 2018 approved the holding of a referendum for the November 6, 2018 election and the following ballot question:
“Shall the Town of Durham appropriate $2,100,000 for road culvert replacement work associated with Indian Lane, Bear Rock Road, Haddam Quarter Road, Seward Road and Cream Pot Road and road pavement work
in the Dinatale subdivision and authorize the issuance of general obligation bonds and notes in the same amount to finance said appropriation?

• Seek and apply for grants to offset project costs
Project Description
Replace existing culverts on Indian Lane over Parmalee Brook, Cream Pot Road over Chalker Brook, Haddam Quarter Road over Sumner Brook, Bear Rock Road over Unnamed Brook, and Seward Road over Unnamed Brook including any pavement work, temporary bridge work and relocation of underground utilities
related thereto. Undertake millwork, pavement of roads and roadside repair on Dinatale Drive, Gina Drive, Bernadette Drive and Anna Terrace within the Dinatale subdivision.

Fiscal Impact
Issuance of general obligation bonds and notes in anticipation of such bonds in an amount not to exceed $2,100,000, with the addition of interest and financing costs, is estimated to impact the taxpayer an average of $23.58 per $100,000 of assessed value per year for 20 years.
