2016 Was As Bad As It Gets For Job Growth In CT
In 2015, Connecticut added 8,600 jobs.

Connecticut did not add any jobs in 2016, in fact, the state lost 200, according to the Hartford Courant.
The state shed 4,300 government jobs, while the private sector added 4,100, resulting in the net loss.

By comparison, in 2015 Connecticut added 8,600 jobs. Despite the loss in jobs, the unemployment rate still fell to 4.4 percent during 2016.
