47 Marijuana Plants Result in One Durham Resident's Arrest

A 52-year-old Durham woman was arrested after someone called police about a potential pot plant.

Durham’s resident state trooper was contacted on Friday, Sept. 4, after someone said they saw a potential pot plant growing near the garage at 111 Indian Lane in Durham.

Indeed that’s what it allegedly was and state police reportedly found 46 more plants on the property, according to the Middletown Press.

The homeowner and planter of the garden, Janet Cooke, 52, was arrested on the following charges:

  • Possession of marijuana greater than one kg
  • Marijuana cultivation
