Yes, Mora and I DO love her agility class! Mora especially loves the chance during our weekly class to leave her practice area and steal other dogs' treats before they finish their practice course. She escapes from my "expert" handling at least 2 or 3 times during each class. Luckily the other 5 dogs don't seem to mind, and the other adults are probably thrilled that it's my dog that's out of control, not theirs! And I love watching Mora sometimes do everything right and to laugh when she doesn't!
I signed us up for the class not realizing that "agility" is a competitive sport for many pet owners. Not this one!! I simply have an active young dog who thrives on learning new things and getting any kind of treat that might be available for a job well done.
I must admit that I got a bit carried away with "our" homework. The weave poles and jumps barely fit in my tiny back yard...but I really outdid myself with the 15 foot tunnel!! What was I thinking?? I've moved it from the living room, to the family room, to outside and it just doesn't get any smaller!
Oh well, just see what a few lessons with Michelle Larson (an amazingly patient coach and teacher) have taught Mora and me. Stay tuned for next Monday's graduation pictures.
