All-Day Workshop in Durham Aims to Help Unemployed

The Workforce Alliance is sponsoring a Re-employment Workshop for Durham and Middlefield residents at Durham Town Hall on Friday, August 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The workshop is designed for job seekers with management experience who have been out of work for an extended period of time. 

There are nearly 500 unemployed residents in Durham and Middlefield, according to the Connecticut Department of Labor.

“We wanted to hold this workshop in Durham again because it offers our residents a new way to approach their job search," said Durham First Selectman Laura Francis.

The workshop will be led by Laura Collins of Collins Group, a Human Resources consulting firm with over 20 years of corporate and consulting experience. 

The workshop is free and includes lunch. Durham or Middlefield residents interested in participating should reserve a seat by emailing info@workforcealliance.biz or by calling Robert Fort at 203-624-1493 x242. Seating is limited, so please respond ASAP. All requests will receive replies.
