Annual Paper Shredding Day Approaches
The free event, which will be held in Middlefield, is open to residents of Middlefield and Durham.

DURHAM, CT — The annual free paper shredding day in Middlefield, which is open to Durham residents, too, is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon.
In addition to residents from Middlefield and Durham, residents of the following towns also are eligible to participate: Chester, Clinton, Cromwell, Deep River, East Haddam, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Killingworth, Lyme, Middletown, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland and Westbrook.
The event will be held at the Middlefield Community Center, 405 Main St. in Middlefield.

Participants can bring up to five (9”h x 18”w x 12”d) boxes or grocery bags of old personal papers, such as medical records, legal or financial documents, and tax returns.
No junk mail, magazines, books, cards, envelopes, etc. will be accepted.
