Arrest Made in Durham Car Burglaries

The suspect used a stolen debit card to purchase goods, according to police.

DURHAM, CT — Troopers have arrested a man who is accused of breaking into a number of vehicles parked on Pleasant Terrace in April.

Police began an investigation April 20. Loose change, gift cards and a debit card were taken in thefts. The debit card was used at the Sunshine Food Mart and video surveillance captured the suspect purchasing items, police said.

Erik Francks, 25, of Meriden was arrested May 25 and charged with burglary and forgery in the third degree, sixth-degree larceny and third-degree identity theft.
