Decorating on a Budget

Looking at how to create a fun place for your child to study! j

These past weeks we have been talking about kids rooms.  Another area I want to talk about is their study area.  You can make it in their bedroom but if space doesn't allow for that,  it is fun to look at some other options!  Do you have an area in a den or home office that you can designate for your child?  Maybe a part of the kitchen or family room - where they can be separate but still a part of everything.

If you look at the picture (BH & G) you can see what a fun, kid specific area this is.  It has lots of storage area for books, games, etc.  If this was in a bedroom you could have the walls a fun color as shown here.  However, in another area of the house the bright polka dot containers on top will make it special.  These boxes can be fun to decorate - if you can't find ones with the interesting designs you can paint them yourself without a lot of fuss.  You can even take shipping boxes or any cardboard box you have and make it fun and decorative.  I also like the painted cork board - so much more interesting than boring beige!

Have fun with different ideas.  If you need help don't forget to call - we can have fun together! j
