Irish Dance at the Library
Don't miss out on your chance to experience some authentic Irish culture at the library this St. Patrick's Day weekend!

This weekend the Durham Public Library will be hosting dancers from The Gray School of Irish Dance for a demonstration and some audience participation. The dancers will be in traditional costume and will perform several different dances including reels, jigs, hornpipe, and ceili dancing. Afterwards, they will teach a jig step to audience members who want to get up and try.
The Gray School of Irish Dance has been teaching dancers of all ages for over 35 years and is run by sisters Iris Gray Sharnick and Maura Gray along with a faculty with teaching and performing experience both in the US and overseas. The Schhol has three dance studios, in Danbury, Newtown, and a new location in Old Saybrook. Students at the School are taught strength, endurance, technique, style and posture. Classes are offering in both Step and Ceili dancing. To learn more, check out their website here: www.grayschool.com
