Jobs Bill Rollout Comes to Area
Jobs Bill Rollout at Andrews Memorial in Clinton on December 19th at 8 A.M. will be provide valuable information on Connecticut's most recent effort to spur the economy.

On Monday, December 19th at 8 A.M., Andrews Memorial Town Hall in Clintonwill be the site of a presentation on the Jobs Bill adopted near unanimously be the General Assembly earlier in the Fall. Catherine Smith, Commissioner of the Department of Economic and Community Development, will be on hand to provide an overview of the new legislation.
Featured aspects of the bill include funding for Small Business growth, Innovation Initiatives that include startup loans,investments and grants, streamlining of the regulatory and permitting processes, and the creation of public-private partnerships. The focus of the presentation will include a discussion of the specific elements of this bipartisan agreement that directly impact our region.
The event requires no fee or registration and should be especially relevant to those in businesses with fewer than 50 employees and those whose businesses are run from their homes. Information will be provided to participants to take home for further review.
