Solar Enthusiasts Pack Library Basement to Learn About Solarize Durham

Be the first kid on the block to be show off your teeny-weeny light bill.

Lots of people, lots of interest, lots of questions, answers and excitement.

Solarize Durham is really picking up speed, well on the way to the fifth and best tier of the pricing structure. Timing is perfect in so many ways. Every time I listen to Kapil Luthra from BeFree Solar explain the program I learn something new.

As I watched the fifty other people gathered in the Durham Public Library basement Wednesday night listen and ask questions and listen even more intently, I was seeing them comment quietly to each other and nod their heads. If you haven't heard the details yet and there's even a chance your house is right for solar, you have to know a few important things.

First, a home energy audit is pre-requisite, get the list of contractors from CL&P and get it done. (Even if that's all you do it will save you money.) Second, call BeFree Solar at 888-596-2922 and make an appointment for someone to come to your house and look at how the sun shines on you.

They will give you an estimate for your specific situation. Third, figure where you can find the best deal on money to finance it. Finally, ink that contract! BeFree needs to bring in supplies to make this happen for us and they can't do that without your commitment. Unless you live in a cave, or deep in the piney woods somewhere with a Northwest facing roof, you owe it to the planet to look at this program carefully.

It's pretty simple, oil drilling, fracking, nuclear is expensive and potentially harmful. Solar is simple and possible.
